How do I configure AVG with Connectify?
There have been numerous users reporting firewall issues with the recent upgrade of AVG. Disabling AVG seems to be one solution. Other users have said disabling the firewall portion of AVG worked and then a handful of users reported adding the IP address of the client device, once connected to the Hotspot, worked for them as well. Below are the steps they took:
- On Connectify window right click on your android device connection status and click "Copy IP address".
- Open AVG < Firewall < Setting < Expert mode < Advanced Settings... and "tick" Allow any traffic from/to virtual machines supported by the firewall.
- Now in "Defined Network" Add the above IP to Local Networks, Local IP address, IP addresses whitelist, and Active Local IP addresses.
