How to get better WiFi signal strength in low coverage areas
It's awful when you have a WiFi connection available but the coverage is so poor that not all devices can connect to it. Imagine you're staying at a hotel and have poor WiFi coverage in your room. To boost the signal, you need a WiFi repeater so you can connect all devices to the network. Here's how you can do that:
- Download, install and purchase a Connectify Hotspot MAX license.
- Make sure you're connected to your Hotel's Wi-Fi network. With Connectify Hotspot running, click on the “Wi-Fi Repeater” button at the top of your Hotspot screen.
- Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to from the “Wi-Fi Network to Repeat” dropdown.
- Click “Start Hotspot” button and you Hotspot will act as a repeater to extend your Wi-Fi signal.

This way, Connectify Hotspot will broadcast an access point with the same SSID and password as the original network. Clients that connect will be bridged directly onto the original network using Hotspot’s network bridging capabilities. Moreover, it will seem like you only have one device connected, if there are network restrictions in place.
Note for Students: The more students are trying to get work done on the same network at the same time, it might decrease the quality of the Wi-Fi even more. If you’re in need of a stronger connection while working on that last minute paper or just want to enjoy some streaming video, you can use Speedify. Combine all of your available Internet connections for one better, faster connection. Read more about that here.
